Real Experiences. Good Times.
Did your parents ever say, “only boring people get bored”? Ours did too – must be in the parenthood handbook. Boredom isn’t a problem in Northeast North Dakota! We have Real. Good. fun here with an eclectic mix of restaurants and shopping, athletics, arts, movies, community events, or simply staying active.
This Real. Good. video showcases some of the experiences you’ll find in NE North Dakota!
“Growing up in Moorhead, Minn. in the Red River Valley, I bought into the perspective that North Dakota is flat and boring – a flyover state. Fast forward to today. After living in Cavalier for the past six years as a farm wife and mom to little kids, parenting is much easier when we are outdoors!
As we started to explore, we found so much beauty packaged into this little corner of the state. We visited Icelandic State Park almost weekly – hiking on the trails, playing at the beach, having picnics, and camping. As the kids grew, so did our adventures! Eventually we made our way to the Pembina Gorge Recreation Area, Tetrault Woods National Forest, more city parks, museums, historical sites, and many other places that usually go unnoticed.
We love having people come to visit us; they are so surprised at all the natural beauty within easy driving distance. We make it part of our weekly schedule to go outdoors and enjoy nature in northeastern North Dakota!”
