The Cavalier Theatre opened in 1949 in Art Moderne style, seating 342. It has remained a mainstay in downtown Cavalier. Seating capacity is now 185.
A three story front with apartments over the lobby. Still has the original four wooden doors at the entrance. It has a flat square shaped awning type marquee over the entrance with free standing letters spelling out “Cavalier” in neon over the front. A really typical small town theatre.
