Nelson County Youth Project Day

Nelson County is excited to host our 2025 Youth Project Day on Tuesday, December 31st at Dakota Prairie High School!
This hands-on event is open to ALL youth ages 5–18 (not just 4-H members) from any county. We’ll be offering a full day of creative, STEM-focused, and skill-building projects—including woodworking, drones, barn quilt canvas painting, candle making, ethanol experiments, extension cords, pebble art, no-sew pillows, and more. Cloverbuds (ages 5–7) will have their own age-appropriate activities as well.

Cost is $20 per participant, which includes three project sessions and lunch. Parent meals can be added for $5.
