September 3, 2024

Summer is coming to a close, but that does not mean it’s time to start a long winter’s nap just yet. Northeast North Dakota has many fun fall activities for the whole family to enjoy together!

Grafton Corn Maze

The Grafton Corn Maze appeals to all ages, with a straw bale maze, corn cannon, pedal car racetrack, corn pit, sports zone, and wagon rides through the woods. The weekends also have a variety of food trucks and other vendors.

The Corn Maze is open Saturdays and Sundays from September 7th – October 6th.

Pioneer Machinery Show

Step back in time at the Pioneer Machinery Show! Start the day off at the pancake feed and take in the sights and sounds of the Pembina County Historical Society grounds. The day holds blacksmith and sawmill demonstrations, kiddie train rides, and orchard tours, and the big 1pm harvest-themed parade!

The Pioneer Machinery Show is Sunday, September 8th.

Walhalla Giant Pumpkinfest

Walhalla’s 20th Annual Giant Pumpkinfest fills up Main Street with family fun! From barrel rides, the kids pedal pull, and a Miss Pumpkinfest pageant to the Farmer’s Market vendors, vintage cars, and a corn hole tournament, this event caters to all ages. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy gigantic pumpkins!?

The Pumpkinfest is Saturday, September 28th.

Frost Fire Oktoberfest

After the Pumpkinfest, head to Frost Fire’s 5th Annual Oktoberfest. Partake in German cuisine, and a beer garden with Revelation Ale Works while the kids enjoy inflatables and a petting zoo in the beautiful Pembina Hills.

Oktoberfest is Saturday, September 28th.

Hoople Tater Town Days

Don’t be a couch potato, head to Hoople’s Tater Town Days! The parade starts at 1pm, followed by a French fry feed, bonfires, food trucks, games and potato-themed competitions. You can also check out the retail vendors, inflatables, bingo, and a cornhole tournament throughout the day. It’s going to be a fun-filled day for the whole family!

Tater Town Days is Saturday, October 19th.
